Veterans Day 2018: Here's where vets can get free food and drinks this weekend

Veterans looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just dessert this weekend are in luck.

Many national chain restaurants are celebrating Veterans Day by giving veterans and active duty military members free or discounted food or drinks.

This list is by far not complete and focuses on larger chains, so don't don't forget to check local businesses as well.

All deals are for veterans and active duty military with military ID or proof of service and are available Sunday, Nov. 11, unless noted otherwise.

Applebee's: Get a free meal at participating locations. There are eight entree options to choose from.

Bakers Square: Get a choice of buttermilk pancakes, french toast or a Belgian waffle at participating locations. Vets will also receive a 20 percent off coupon for their next visit.

Bandanas Bar-B-Q: Veterans eat free on Saturday, up to a $10 value.

Bob Evans: A variety of select items, including french toast, pancakes and country-fried steak, will be available free.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Get a free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries.

Chili's Grill & Bar: Choose from one of six entrees for free.

Chipotle: Buy-one-get-one free on burritos, bowls, salads and taco orders.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: Choice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake or a crafted coffee beverage for free.

Denny's: Get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 12.

Dunkin' Donuts: Get a free doughnut, no purchase necessary.

Golden Corral: Get a free dinner on Monday, Nov. 12.

Hooters: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu. A drink purchase is required.

Houlihan's: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu.

Little Caesars Pizza: Get a free $5 hot-and-ready lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Get a free dessert or appetizer (no other purchase required). Those dining with the veteran or active duty military member will also get 10 percent off their bill.

Olive Garden: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina: Get a free "Create Your Own Combo 2."

Red Lobster: Get a free appetizer or dessert on Sunday, Nov. 11 and Monday, Nov. 12.

Red Robin: Get a free Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries.

Ruby Tuesday: Get a free appetizer up to a $10 value.

Shoney's: Free all-you-care-to-eat breakfast bar until 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12.

Starbucks: Get a free tall brewed coffee.

Texas Roadhouse: Get a free lunch entree from a special Veterans Day menu.
