Veterans Day 2019: 25 restaurants honoring vets with free food and drink

Veterans looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just dessert this Monday are in luck.

Many national chain restaurants are celebrating Veterans Day by giving veterans and active duty military members free or discounted food or drinks.

This list is by far not complete and focuses on larger chains, so don't don't forget to check local businesses as well.

All deals are for veterans and active duty military with military ID or proof of service and are available Monday, Nov. 11, unless noted otherwise.

Applebee's: Get a free meal at participating locations. There are seven entree options to choose from.

Bakers Square: Veterans get a free meal at participating locations. 

Bandana's Bar-B-Q: Veterans ate for free at Bandana's in 2018. Plans for 2019 haven't been announced yet, but the deal has been similar for the past few years.

Bob Evans: A variety of select items, including brioche french toast, pancakes and the country biscuit breakfast, will be available free.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Get a free small order of boneless wings and a side of fries.

California Pizza Kitchen: Get a free beverage and entree from a special menu.

Chili's Grill & Bar: Choose from one of seven entrees for free.

Chipotle: Buy-one-get-one free on burritos, bowls, salads and taco orders. The deal is available for all active duty military, reserves, national guard, military spouses and retired military.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: Choice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake or a pumpkin pie latte for free.

Denny's: Get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon.

Dunkin': Get a free doughnut, no purchase necessary. The first 50 veterans will also receive a thank you card from the community at participating locations.

Famous Dave's: Get a free two-meat combo with side and cornbread muffin.

Golden Corral: Free dinner for its Military Appreciation Night.

Hooters: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu. A drink purchase is required.

Houlihan's: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu.

Joe's Crab Shack: Get 20 percent off the bill on tables of four or fewer. Doesn't include alcohol.

Little Caesars Pizza: Get a free $5 hot-and-ready lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Last year, LongHorn Steakhouse offered a free dessert or appetizer (no other purchase required)as well as 10 percent off for those dining with a veteran or active duty military member.

Olive GardenIn 2018, Olive Garden offered a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina: 2018's offer was a free "Create Your Own Combo 2."

Red LobsterGet a free appetizer or dessert.

Red Robin: Get a free Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries.

Ruby Tuesday2018's offer was a free appetizer up to a $10 value.

Shoney's: Free all-you-care-to-eat breakfast bar until 11 a.m. 

Texas Roadhouse: Get a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
