Kathleen Anne Ketterer of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was 69.
Kathy was born and raised in Portage. She was the daughter of Marion (Lueck) Roesler and the late Glenn A. Roesler. She graduated from Portage High School and attended Evangel University, where she earned her teaching degree. Kathy loved her career as an English teacher, retiring after 33 years, following teaching in Japan, Chicago, and most recently, in Central Bucks School District in Pennsylvania. Devoted to family life, Kathy cherished her time spent with her husband and son and daughter-in-law. Her grandchildren brought Kathy special joy, as did her nieces and nephew.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Larry Ketterer of Perkasie, Pennsylvania; her son, Scott (Katie) Austin of Buckingham, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Leah, Erin and Maggie Austin; her mother, Marion Roesler of Portage; brother, Rick (Janarl) Roesler of Pardeeville; sister, Angela Campbell of Deforest; nieces and nephew, Tiffany (Brian) Campbell-Zbydnicwski, Krystle Campbell, Tyler and Victoria Roesler.
“It has been a grand life, and I would like all my family and friends to know I will be preparing a place for them in Heaven.”
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Crosspoint Assembly of God Church in Portage. There will be a time of visitation prior to the beginning of the service from 10 to 11 a.m.
