Last month, Gov. Tony Evers toured the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Fresh Water Sciences, highlighting the state's efforts to protect Wisconsin's water resources. The Governor toured a number of labs and met with Prof. Sandra McLellan, Prof. Rebecca Klaper, and Asst. Prof. Jhonatan Sepulveda-Villet. The Governor then took a boat tour on the Neeskay, meeting with Val Klump, Dean of Freshwater Sciences for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prof. McLellan addressed E. coli testing in water, Prof. Klaper addressed emerging contaminant and pharmaceutical testing in water, Asst. Prof. Sepulveda-Villet addressed sustainable food production for fish, and Dean Klump showcased the submersible "Remotely Operated Vehicle" that the school uses to investigate the lakes.
