With grateful thanks to the Greater Sauk County Community Foundation, memorial gifts, community support and Pulse Fitness Center, the non-contact boxing exercise for Parkinson’s Disease is ending its first year and looking forward to a continuation of this vital program, which is evidence-based to improve balance, coordination, strength, improve posture and decrease stiffness. Boxing with peers brings a special bond and camaraderie. The feeling of fighting back gives them hope.

We are a nonprofit group meeting at the Pulse Fitness Center for one hour from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays starting Nov. 7. This begins our second year of this vital exercise program with certified instructors in a special gym environment and equipment.

New members always are welcomed. Come to Pulse Fitness Center at 501 Hitchcock St., Baraboo, to witness their smiles and fun as they give Parkinson’s a good hit on the boxing bag.
