Owen Jelinek, a senior at Lodi High School, is one of 32 students in Wisconsin to be named a WIAA Scholar-Athlete.

Sixteen boys and sixteen girls, all seniors, attending Wisconsin public and private high schools are named winners of the WIAA Scholar-Athlete Award annually, presented by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. The program honors scholastic and athletic excellence. Jelinek has lettered in football, basketball and track and field, and was a member of the Blue Devils’ Division 4 state championship football team in 2017 and a member of the Division 2 state runner-up track and field team in 2018. He is also an outstanding student, taking nearly every advanced class Lodi has to offer.

Jelinek is Lodi’s fourth WIAA Scholar-Athlete award winner in the past five years and seventh overall.
