Pease to perform as Clara in The Nutcracker

Emerald Pease, 11, of Portage, has been cast as Clara in Dance Wisconsin's The Nutcracker. The show is performed mostly by children 7 and older, with a small group of adults. The performances will be held at the Madison Union's Shannon Hall. Pease will be dancing the role in the 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 performance, and the 2 p.m. Dec. 16 performance. Pease's mother, Autumn will play the role of Clara's mother, Frau Silberhaus. Pease started dance at age 3, taught by her mother, until about 5 years ago when she joined the Monona Academy of Dance.
