At 90, LaVerne "Griff" Griffin curls twice a week -- so the 1946 Portage High School graduate was only too happy to play a round or two at the Portage Alumni Curling Bonspiel Saturday, after planner Dan Brunt asked him to join his rink.
James Miller and Pete Jones are designated substitutes for the O'Connor rink, representing the class of 1963 -- but their services on the sheet were not needed.
