Before any wind turbines can be built in the Columbia County towns of Scott and Randolph, the Glacier Hills Energy Park needs an operations headquarters. That's the reason for all the earth-moving going on earlier this week on County Highway H just south of Highway 33 in the town of Scott. Construction on the roads that will lead to each of the wind turbines also is scheduled to start soon, but the 400-foot turbines - up to 90 of them - won't go up until the spring and summer in 2011. Glacier Hills, being buillt by We Energies, might become the largest wind farm in Wisconsin.
