The Elks offer a brat and burger fry from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Thursday through September. It coincides with the nearby Portage Farmers Market. Proceeds go toward their charitable foundations, members said. Volunteer and cook Paul O'Brion said the Elks sell about 100 brats, 110 burgers and 10 pounds of pulled pork each week, including carry-out orders. He said the number of customers is "way up" this year.
