Honestly, I have to say "payback!" I was in an accident just outside the Dells a few years ago. A little shaken up but no injuries. The ambulance crew from Lake Delton wanted to "treat" me but I was fine and didn't want a huge medical bill from them. They convinced me that they just wanted to have me sit down in the ambulance and answer a few questions. They then wanted to take my vital signs, to which I said, "no, thanks I'm fine." So they asked me a few questions about my condition, had me sign the bottom of the form and then let me go. This little Q&A turned out to be a bill for over $800!! Despite repeated phone calls and protests, payment was demanded or collections would be called. I wonder how many other people the ambulance crew have swindled by having them sit for 5 minutes in the ambulance? What comes around....
