Emmett Theodore Apel of Pardeeville, Wisconsin, passed away on June 4, 2019 in Fort Peck, Montana.
Emmett was born on December 12, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A graduate of Nicolet High School, Emmett moved to Pardeeville and found success as the owner/operator of Apel Insulation. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially when the boys were in town for gun opener. Recently, Emmett reopened the Wyocena Bar to much fanfare.
Emmett loved the social aspect of community life and was an avid storyteller...taken with a grain of salt of course. No matter what, he was generous to his many family and friends. For as loud and boisterous as he was, Emmett was quick to catch the next drink for anyone indulging him in conversation. His house on the hill was open to everybody.
Emmett is survived by his wife, Oi-Lai “Chris” Yung; mother, Carole Lager; children, Patrick Apel, Kayleigh (Jesse) Lewis, Kelley Apel (Kyle Walker); sisters, Linda (Kevin) Cowan and Sandra (Greg) Raschig; niece/goddaughter, Erica (Joe) Pichler; nephews, Phillip Cowan, Andrew Cowan, Daniel Stolp, T Stolp, and Jerry Tice; and many other relatives and family friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Herbert Apel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 15 at the Wyocena Bar from 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
