Please accept this letter with sincere thanks for your preparation and time spent hosting the Kirk Konkel Memorial Service on Jan. 13.

Kirk would have grumbled about focusing so much time about him, but ultimately he would have appreciated this celebration of his life because of the perfect execution of this event. From Cory Weigel handling the setup, the slideshow created by the staff information technology team, the outstanding introduction and conclusion by Chaplain Tom Drury and the wonderful volunteer work from the staff hosting the after service luncheon, the entire event was beautiful.

In addition, hosting the event in the new Columbia County Administration building that Kirk spent many years leading the building effort was a fitting tribute. Thank you again to Vern Gove and everyone in the county for such a thoughtful sendoff for our friend who will be missed by all.
