The Friends of the Portage Library would like to express our thanks to everyone who participated in our recent book sale held May 15-18. Your purchases allow us to contribute more than $10,000 this year to subsidize programming at the library.

Special thanks to the Portage Library Board, Interim Director Susan Santner and the library staff for their cooperation; Joe Sadlon, who set up and transported tables for book sorts and sale; the city of Portage for loaning the tables; Carol Heisz and Portage Printing for their generosity creating bookmarks and posters to publicize the November book sale, upcoming Jerry Apps workshop and our annual meeting in October; Pizza Hut and Papa Murphy's, who distributed flyers advertising this sale; Festival Foods for donating bags to hold purchases; Nancy Schaper for helping us get banners and letters from Pepsi and the many venues that allowed us to advertise; special thanks to the Portage Academy students, who hauled dozens of boxes; to all who provided vehicles to move these boxes from storage; and Bob Morrow for the many ways he helped before and after the sale.

Thanks for helping us achieve a successful spring Friends' book sale. See you in November.

Linda Floeter, Portage
