Eric Shimpach is my brother, so that means I have had the pleasure of watching him grow into the man he has become. He has always shown determination and a desire for fairness even as a young kid. While at Portage High School, he had incredible focus and reached for goals even when out of his comfort level.

As an adult, he has started his own business and traveled the world to immerse himself in other cultures just to learn more about them. These are impressive for someone so young at just 26 years old. I believe he will go far in life and it makes me incredibly proud, however, it doesn't surprise me since he loves our hometown.

The community would be in great hands having him sitting on the council, bringing new ideas to the table while keeping our community's best interest in mind.
