Eric Shimpach has been a valued friend for more than 10 years of my life.

Ever since I met him, he has been reading, debating and trying to get involved with anything in the community that he can. He is an extremely knowledgeable man that can do a lot for the Portage community as an alderman.

He has the courage and drive to push for what he believes is the correct push for the people. As well, he has the humbleness to push for what the people want and ask for if it is the majority.

He will have my family and myself supporting him in this upcoming election. We have an opportunity that we almost never get, a chance to get someone with fresh new ideas and not someone who will just go with whatever the city officials want to have done. He is independent and answers only to his constituents

Having someone on the council that's grown up in this town, the sixth district even, that is in his 20s and really wants to be involved and make an impact would be a great addition to the council.

Please consider Shimpach for alderman on April 2.
