I’ve known Eric Shimpach for a great amount of time and I know that when he puts his mind to anything, he doesn’t stop until he meets his goal.
His drive, commitment and loyalty to his fellow townspeople will make him a great alderman. I was fortunate to go to school with him and was able to get to know him through high school programs like building trades. He has always been a great leader and a teacher to those around him. The community is lucky to have him.
From what I’ve seen lately in politics, businesses and other organizations, some leaders at the top seem to lose touch with the people they work and serve with over time. Not Shimpach. He cares about Portage, his district, and his neighbors.

I unconditionally support him for the position of alderman as I know he has the skills and experience to make positive change to the neighborhood. Not too many leaders would make it a point to talk to everyone that they can about issues that affect the district, yet he has, and that is what makes him a once-in-a-generation leader.
Please consider Shimpach for alderman on April 2.
