Equity Cooperative Livestock elected new regional board of director members March 30, Steve Schleis, Kewaunee, District III; Les Danielson, Cadott, District VI; and Brad Solchenberger, Cazenovia, District IX. On April 26, Danielson was elected chairman of the board; David Wilke, vice chairman of the board; Schleis, secretary/treasurer; and Karl Merow, assistant secretary/treasurer.

Former chairman, Norm Fruit stepped down after 20 years of service. Solchenberger, 29-years-old, is his replacement and brings more than 12 years of farming experience with him. He also serves on the local association board, Equity Rich Land Livestock Marketing Cooperative. He raises 175 dairy animals and finishes 100 Holstein steers a year. He and his family live in Cazenovia.
