Mary LaBansky, 93, of Reedsburg, died on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at the Sauk County Health Care Center surrounded by her family. She was born on June 6, 1925 in Reedsburg, the daughter of James and Anna (Pohlmann) Fields.
Mary was a graduate of Reedsburg High School. On Nov. 18, 1943, she was married to Arland LaBansky. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children, Tom (Jane) LaBansky of Reedsburg, Mary Jo (Tom) Perry of Portage, and Donna (Ken) Bradley of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister, Delores (Bob) McWilliams of Reedsburg; brother, Jim Fields of Greendale; sisters-in-law, Marian McIntyre of Wisconsin Rapids, and Carolyn LaBansky of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arland, on Oct. 2, 2015; son, Dan LaBansky, on Oct. 31, 2018; brothers, Bill, Lenny, Jerry, Robert, and Lyle Fields; and sisters, Irene Naess and Evelyn Wagner.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorials to the Sauk County Health Care Center or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church are appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
