The Reedsburg Area United Fund is keeping the same goal as last year for the 11th annual Brat, Bash and Dash.
Chairman Jeannine Mueller said the goal is to sell 3,000 brats during the June 28 event. Last year, the event sold 3,040 brats, raising about $5,000 for the Reedsburg Area United Fund.
The Brat, Bash and Dash is one of two events the group holds every year as its two fundraisers to support about 30 non-profit organizations in the Reedsburg and Weston School District. The other event is its radio auction, held every January. Mueller said the Reedsburg Area United Fund gave over $40,000 raised from this year auction and last years Brat, Bash and Dash in April to the agencies requesting funds.
The Brat, Bash and Dash begins at 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Quillin’s Quality Foods at 115 2nd Street in Reedsburg. Mueller said the event will go on rain or shine.
Mueller said about 10-15 deliveries from area businesses helped the group reach its goal last year. One delivery order contained 800 brats, she said. Mueller encourages anyone ordering brats for delivery to call Quillin’s Quality Foods at 608-524-4533 ahead of time to place an order, state the time and location for volunteers to deliver the food. Free delivery is available for orders over 20 brats.
Tables and tents will be available at Quillin’s Quality Foods parking lot with dine in and carry out options available. A drive through will be available on Webb Avenue for those who want a brat on the go. Brats are available for $2.50 or three for $6. Chips, soda and water are available for $1 each.
Mueller said about 60 volunteers are still needed to help with the event. Anyone interested in volunteering can call Anderson Chiropractic Office at 608-524-2616.
