Reedsburg Pi Day was a success

It seemed that spring was in the air March 14, at our annual Pi Day at the library. It was as if blue skies and warm winds made sunny lemon meringue pies and other stunning creations float in and out of the doors. We are grateful to Reedsburg area’s finest pie crafters who are truly in action and so loyal to this event. Also a hearty thank you to the buyers and even local businesses who lent assistance for this year’s success.

Disappointment reigned when we ran out of pies but maybe there’s something to take from this. Before homemade pie becomes a lost art, perhaps we all should seek out a seasoned baker for a hands on tutorial to crack the secret of making these marvelous originals, both sweet and savory, heavenly crusts included. End result, we’d warmly welcome more pie makers.

Thank you to all, and ask for your continued support.

Pi plates can be returned to the library when convenient in order to make them available to bakers next year.
