The Sauk Prairie Theatre Guild with a cast of 65 young people will present the children's musical Narnia with book by Jules Tasca, music by Thomas Tierney and lyrics by Ted Dachman. Saturday, Dec. 1

Holly Jolly Sauk Prairie: All day, community wide, Sauk Prairie area. Chili cook-off, open houses, Santas, cookie decorating, movies, plays, crafts, gifts, pop-up shops. For more information, locations, and times, visit saukprairie.com/holly-jolly-sauk-prairie.

Holiday trunk show: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., River Arts, 590 Water St., Prairie du Sac. Join guest vendors as they bring jewelry, soaps, pottery, and many other gift items to choose from. Most items for sale under $100. All made by local artists visiting the gallery for one day only. Featuring: Pam Ryan (Silver Jewelry), November Blue (Soap, bath/body), Amber Kelter (Fiber), Dan Kelter (Screen prints, clothing), Therese Miskulin-Brethorst (Jewelry), Heidi Clayton (Ceramics), and John Joseph Coffee.

Wagon rides: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Taliesin Preservation, Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, 5607 Highway C, Spring Green. One-hour horse-drawn wagon rides through the Taliesin estate and warm seasonal beverages by the fireside in the fully restored historic Tan-y-Deri. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children age 4-9, and free for children 3 and under if sitting on an adults lap. Space is limited, reserve online at taliesinpreservation.org.

Open house: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., River Arts, 590 Water St., Prairie du Sac. Holiday shopping opportunities with John Joseph Coffee free tastings. Door prizes and giveaways.

Chili cook off: Noon to 3 p.m., Sauk Prairie Chamber of Commerce, downtown Prairie du Sac. Free samples at participating locations.

Cooking demo: 2 p.m., J.S. Tripp Heritage Museum, 565 Water St., Prairie du Sac. Wisconsin Public Television's “Around the Farm Table” host Inga Witscher will host Christmas on the Farm, a live cooking demonstration. Holiday light parade and event: 6 p.m., Sycamore and Hemlock to Marion Park, Sauk City. Line up starts at Sycamore and Hemlock and continues down Grand Ave. and 1st St. After the parade, the Holiday Event will be held in Marion Park with parade prizes, fireworks, dance teams, and Santa.

Fundraiser: 6-9 p.m., Sauk County Humane Society, Devil’s Head Resort, S6330 Bluff Road, Merrimac. Bark after Dark with silent auction, music, magic, hors d’ oeuvres, a wine pull, raffle, photo booth and more. Reservations are $75 and includes admission, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, complimentary drink and goodie bag. Tickets are limited. Reserve at saukhumane.org or call 608-356-2520. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20 and prizes of $1,000 and $500 will be drawn at the event.

Breakfast with Santa: 8 a.m., St. Aloysius School Gym, 608 Oak St., Sauk City. All you can eat breakfast including baked eggs, pancakes, and more. Sinsinawa bread, cookie walk, chance raffle prizes, and a Scholastic Book Fair. Tickets available at the door, adults $8, kids $5, 3 and under are free.

Candlelight vigil: 4 p.m., Baraboo First United Methodist Church and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America - Sauk County, 615 Broadway, Baraboo. The event is open to people of all faiths to join in support of people affected by gun violence and to pray or meditate for peace in the world. Snacks served after the vigil.

Gamblers meeting: 6-7 p.m., Sauk County Gamblers Anonymous, SSM Health St. Clare Hospital, Crane Room A, 707 14th St., Baraboo. Ongoing meeting meets every Wednesday and Sunday.
