Sauk Prairie Theatre Guild will perform four one-act comedies called "In the Way of Love" about the obstacles to love at 7 p.m. March 16-17 and 2 p.m. March 18 at Park Hall, 307 Polk St., Sauk City.
The plays are “A Buffalo in Sheep's Clothing” by Ray Sheers, “Litmus Test” by Craig Clark, “Lightning and Love” by Patrick Gabridge and “Bob's Date” (parental guidance) by John Shanahan by special arrangement with Heuer publishing LLC and Brooklyn Publishers LLC.
A synopsis of the play "A Buffalo in Sheep's Clothing" reads, Camilla Mahoney has had terrible luck with men. She’s dated everything from gravediggers to gangsters, but this time she’s sure she’s found the real thing: Alvin Studnitzer, a polka-playing accordion player. She invites Alvin over for a nice romantic dinner assuming her mother will be out playing bingo with her lady friends and her father will be bowling. Unfortunately, her mother and her gal pals want to meet Alvin what follows is a comical series of misadventures
