Sauk Prairie rolled to a Badger North Conference win over visiting Reedsburg on Sept. 19.

The Eagles (10-2-2, 2-0-1 Badger North) jumped ahead right off the bat, as Kevin Estrada assisted Spencer Kostroski for a goal just 4 minutes, 1 second into the game. Juan Herrera added an unassisted goal at the 8:44 mark, while Iggy Bermudez assisted Evan Carlson for a goal at 25:19.

Sauk Prairie took the 3-0 lead into halftime, then tacked on an insurance goal when Carlson assisted Kostroski at the 85:44 mark.

The Eagles finished with 20 shots on goal, while Sauk Prairie goalkeeper Riley Jelinek tallied two saves.

Sauk Prairie is outscoring opponents 8-1 in three Badger North Conference games. The Eagles will play three Badger North games in the next week, visiting Waunakee on Tuesday, visiting Mount Horeb on Thursday, and hosting Portage/Poynette on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

Girls Volleyball

Sauk Prairie went 0-3 in a tough week on the volleyball court.

The Eagles opened the week with a five-set home loss to Badger North Conference rival Baraboo on Sept. 21.

The teams traded sets until Baraboo was able to pull out a 26-24, 23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-8 win.

Mia Radix paced Sauk Prairie with 14 kills, while Olivia Breunig led the Eagles with 42 assists and three aces. Ainsley Apel added a team-high 24 digs, while Hannah Schneider finished with two blocks.

Sauk Prairie went 0-2 at the Watertown Quadrangular on Saturday.

The Eagles opened the event with a 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 loss to Waterford before suffering a 26-24, 25-23, 23-25 loss to Markesan.

Sauk Prairie hosted Stoughton in a Badger Conference crossover match on Tuesday night. The Eagles will visit Waunakee on Thursday for a Badger North match.

Sauk Prairie cruised to a 118-50 non-conference dual win over visiting River Valley on Sept. 19.

The Eagles visited Portage on Tuesday night. Sauk Prairie will return home to host Lodi on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
