Mount Horeb 2, Sauk Prairie 1

The Sauk Prairie boys soccer team fell off the pace in the Badger North Conference with a 2-1 home loss to Mount Horeb on Oct. 4.

The loss dropped Sauk Prairie to 3-2 in Badger North play, while Waunakee, Mount Horeb and DeForest are tied atop the conference with a 5-1 record.

Mount Horeb struck early in Prairie du Sac, as Caleb Guenther scored in the fifth minute to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead.

Sauk Prairie trailed 1-0 at halftime before Simon Enerson got the Eagles on the board with an unassisted goal in the 55th minute.

Mount Horeb's Tommy Winkler answered immediately, scoring the game-winning goal in the 57th minute to give the Vikings a 2-1 lead and the win.

Sauk Prairie 3, Sun Prairie 1

Sauk Prairie bounced back with Saturday's 3-1 home non-conference win over Sun Prairie.

The Eagles took command with three goals during a 10-minute stretch in the first half.

Max Wilkinson scored first, taking an assist from Evan Carlson and scoring in the 27th minute to give Sauk Prairie a 1-0 lead.

Carlson added a pair of unassisted goals, scoring in the 31st minute and the 37th minute to give the Eagles a 3-0 halftime lead.

Sun Prairie's lone goal of the night came when Kyle Hagerman assisted Luke Baker in the 78th minute.

Sauk Prairie goalkeeper Riley Jelinek saved eight shots in the win.

The Eagles (11-5, 3-2), who had Tuesday's Badger North game at Baraboo postponed due to weather, will return to the field when they visit Milton on Thursday and host Waunakee on Friday.
