Riley Breunig was a steady contributor for the Sauk Prairie High School girls basketball team this winter.

The senior put up 8.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game on the way to earning honorable mention All-Badger North Conference recognition.

“We’re going to miss Riley and her ability to get to the basket,” Sauk Prairie head coach Amber Fiene said of Breunig. “She had a great attack and finish, especially in the open court. She was a steady offensive contributor for our team this year and last.”

Breunig also earned honorable mention accolades last season, when she averaged 9.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.4 assists per game.

Beaver Dam, the conference and WIAA Division 2 state champions, placed seven players on the 2018-19 All-Badger North team. The Golden Beavers had five of the 10 first-team members — Paige Schumann, Jada Donaldson, Maty Wilke, Tara Stauffacher and Aly Van Loo.

Sauk Prairie compiled a 4-18 record this season, including going 1-13 in Badger North play.
