The 2019 Sauk Prairie prep boys tennis team got in the win column Tuesday night.

The Eagles claimed a 5-2 home win over McFarland to improve to 1-2 in non-conference dual meets this season.

Sauk Prairie won all four singles matches in straight sets against McFarland.

Junior Noah Wankerl picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Carter Johnson at No. 1 singles, while Kelby Mack claimed a 6-0, 6-3 win over Jack Newman at No. 2 singles, Tarren Nimmow earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bryce Fleming at No. 3 singles and Chris Leatherberry earned a 6-3, 6-0 win over Simon Dingle at No. 4 singles.

Isaac Green and Max Sailor teamed up for Sauk Prairie’s lone singles win on the day. The duo notched a 6-1, 6-4 win over Truitt Landolt and Sean Fernan at No. 2 doubles.

Sam Humbracht and Alex Kinnamon dropped a 6-3, 6-2 match to Tyson Laux and Logan Snelling at No. 1 doubles, while Carson Brinkmeier and Dom Babina fell 6-2, 6-1 to Michael Sutor and Carter Snyder at No. 3 doubles.

Sauk Prairie, the defending Badger North Conference champions, will open up conference dual play by hosting McFarland on Thursday and traveling to DeForest on Tuesday.
