Following a foot chase in Prairie du Sac, a Muscoda man was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines on a Dane County disorderly conduct conviction and received an additional charge of resisting arrest by Sauk Prairie police.
Dustin Haas, 29, was arrested after an anonymous tip came into the Sauk Prairie Police Department on April 24. Haas had been spotted near the area of Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street in the Village of Prairie du Sac. The caller said there was a warrant for his arrest and described the clothes Haas was wearing.
The responding officer spotted Haas walking in the 1400 block of Oak Street. Police said Haas took off running toward the Evangelical Free Church.

A few minutes later, the officer saw Haas come out of the north doors of the church, run across Lincoln Avenue and continue running.
Haas was caught after a foot chase and taken to the Sauk County jail on a probation and parole hold. He also was charged with resisting arrest.
A Dane County Sheriff’s K-9 unit assisted Sauk Prairie police in looking for any evidence that Haas may have dropped during the pursuit, but nothing was found. Haas has a felony charge pending in Grant County for criminal damage to property over $2,500. He was convicted in Sauk County of retail theft in Dane County in February 2014 and convicted of retail theft in January 2014 in Sauk County.
