LeRoy Edwin Luetscher, 92, of Prairie du Sac, peacefully passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie Nursing Home, Sauk City.
He was born July 12, 1925, to Irvin and Margaret (Accola) Luetscher in the Township of Sumpter, Sauk County.
LeRoy was born and raised on the family dairy farm in what became the Badger Ordnance Works in Sauk County where he learned hard work leads to success. After graduating from Prairie du Sac High School he held several jobs including driving school bus and selling magazines. At age 23, LeRoy began his lifelong career in the dairy business at the Honey Creek Dairy in Witwen, during which time he also attended Short Course at University of Wisconsin. His accomplishments earned the respect of many in the dairy business.
After retirement, he relocated to Green Valley, Arizona, where he spent many satisfying years playing golf and enjoying his home in the warm southwest. He ”enjoyed his life and it was an interesting one.” He is greatly loved by his family and will be dearly missed by all of us. His smile, unassuming nature and fairness will be remembered by all who knew and worked with him.
