Building bridges through the Arts

Free arts workshops and art supplies will help many local youth to be creative this summer thanks to the Dells Delton Community Supper, DDCS, and Little Eagle Arts Foundation, LEAF. These two local non-profit organizations have joined together to provide the “Arts for All” art workshop series at the monthly community suppers this summer. The goal is to cultivate our local creative community by sharing creative ideas and resources with the youth and their families.

The series kicks off at 4 p.m. June 25 at Spring Hill Elementary School, 300 Vine St. Wisconsin Dells. Professional teaching artists from LEAF’s teaching roster will provide monthly art projects that transform repurposed materials into creative artworks. The first project is inspired by the stain glass window designs of St. Cecilia’s and includes mixed-media mosaic and decoupage techniques. A different project and a variety of free art supplies to take home will be made available every month at the community suppers through Sept. 24.

This program is made possible through a grant from the Todd and Shari Nelson Family Foundation and gifts from the donors and friends of Little Eagle Arts Foundation.
