The Friends of the Kilbourn Public Library will hold its biggest book sale of the year Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with the annual Wo-Zha-Wa festival.
The sale will be in the community room at the library, 620 Elm St., Wisconsin Dells. The large room, plus space on the patio outside it, will be filled with thousands of books for sale.
Adult fiction and nonfiction, children’s books, audio books, videos, DVD, CDs, and magazines will be on sale. Collectibles, old favorites and rare books also will be on sale. Both hardcover and paperbacks are available, and prices are minimal.
Hundreds of children’s books will be on sale, along with some teacher’s manuals.
Nonfiction books on sale include cookbooks, coffee table books, biographies, travel, art, history and many other subjects will be available.
The proceeds from the sale are used to support the library. The money raised at the sales also fund special programs, snacks and many activities at the library.
Most of the books have been donated. The library accepts and appreciates donations of used books, CDs, videos, magazines and DVDs. Donations can be dropped off at the library. Those who have a large donation or who can’t get their items to the library can call the library (608)254-2146 for a pick up. The donation of books can be a tax-deductible contribution to use in filing income tax returns.
The Friends will also be having a book sale in conjunction with Kilbourn City Live on Friday, Sept.28 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
