Thomas Clark, 66, of Lake Delton, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Thomas was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Baraboo, the son of Duane and Beverly (Gruman) Clark. Following high school he enlisted into the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. In September of 2013 he married Susan Barker at Devils Lake State Park. As a young child he always said someone else fed him, yet he attended culinary school, was a cook for many years and eventually became an executive chef of which he was very proud of and enjoyed. Aside from being a showoff in the kitchen, he had worked at many local Wisconsin Dells restaurants including the Cambrian Lodge, Dells Brewing Company, Moose Jaw, HoChunk Resort and River Bay. Tom was an avid reader, favorite author was Stephen King, enjoyed golf, watching the Packers, Brewers and other sports teams, was a great shopper and he enjoyed sawing wood and pounding nails.
Tom is survived by his father, Duane; wife, Susan; children, Jonathan (Katelyn Bass) Clark, Tomi Clark, Ronni Kay Jessen, Billy Joe (Erin) Jessen, Angela Cain, Steven (Nicole) Schemehorn, Chad (Jen) Schemehorn and Michelle Skipchak; sisters, Sharon “Spud” (Kurt) Jensen and Cyndee Clark; and numerous grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; infant sons, Daniel and James; sisters, Dianne and Patty; and infant sister, Linda.
