The Wisconsin Dells Rivermen remain winless in the Northern Section Sunday League after suffering a 10-0 mercy rule loss in eight innings against Sauk Prairie on July 3 before falling to Mazomanie, 11-3, on Sunday.
Against the Twins, the Rivermen (0-12) pounded out eight hits but were kept off the board as they again fell in an early hole.
Sauk Prairie led 3-0 through three innings and kept rolling, adding runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh before putting things away with four in the eighth. Zach Zamzow went 3-for-3, while Austin Fjoser and Corey Rosol each added two hits to pace Wisconsin Dells at the plate.
It was a case of déjà vu for the Rivermen against the Mustangs on Sunday as Mazomanie notched four runs in the first. Down 6-0, Wisconsin Dells answered with two runs in the fifth, but the Mustangs scored five straight runs, including four in the seventh, to put the game out of reach.
Rosol homered, TJ Wagner had a double and Trevor Hanson had a pair of hits the loss. Wisconsin Dells will look to break into the win column on Friday when it travels to Black Earth before heading to Reedsburg on Sunday.
