The Dells Ducks went 1-2 over the weekend, splitting a pair of games with the Steele County Blades on Friday and Saturday before losing to the Minnesota Blue Ox on Sunday.

In Friday night’s opener against the Blades, the Ducks rallied back from 3-1 hole with three goals in the final period to pick up the 4-3 win.

Beckett Patten netted a pair of goals for the Ducks in the win. His first goal, at 10:49 of the first period, gave the Ducks a 1-0 lead. After the Blades scored three unanswered goals, Patten scored again, 4:45 into the third period to make it a 3-2 game.

The Ducks tied the game on a goal from Jacob Richardson less than a minute later, and the game remained tied until Stone Stelzl scored his fourth goal of the season with just 4 seconds left in regulation.

Michael Zeleney got the win in goal for the Ducks, stopping 24 of the 27 shots he faced.

Saturday’s rematch with the Blades didn’t go as well for the Dells, as Steele County took a 3-0 lead into the third period. The Ducks tried to mount another rally, getting a goal from Brayden Cooper early in the period, but that was all they would get, as the Blades got the 3-1 win.

Steele County goalie Niilo Ventela was too good for the Ducks, as he stopped 50 of the 51 shots the Ducks threw at him in the game. Emil Norrman made 26 saves for the Ducks.

The Ducks fell into another early hole on Sunday in what turned out to be a 3-2 loss, as the Minnesota Blue Ox scored twice in the opening period. The Ducks would tie the game on goals from Connor Aguilar and Richardson, with the tying goal coming at 11:32 of the third period, but the Blue Ox got the winner from Philip Schader at 16:15 of the third period.

Norrman was busy in goal for the Ducks, stopping 52 of 55 shots.

Next up will be a busy couple days for the Ducks as they take part in a showcase event outside of Chicago. The Ducks will play once on Thursday, twice on Friday, followed by another game on Saturday.
