On February 20, the Legislative Black Caucus hosted the Oshkosh 94 panel discussion in honor of Black History Month. Oshkosh 94 refers to an African American student equality demonstration that took place on November 21, 1968 at the then Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh. The students' requests were ignored and their tactics resulted in mass arrest and the expulsion of 94 students, both black and white. Henry Brown, a member of the Oshkosh 94, spoke about racism in America, how Oshkosh 94 shaped his experience and encouraged the youth of today to speak against power.
